The icelandic way of life
Horseback riding Iceland is a small family business, run by Susan & Víðir Þór Herbertsson. At the farm Gröf in Breidavík, we provide warm and personal service in a comfortable, beautiful renovated sheep barn, The Holy Ram Lodge.
We offer pre-prepared, four & six days, tours during the summer, with experienced english speaking guides. Our aim is to offer unforgettable riding tours on good horses in a beautiful landscape – and a bit of luxury during the stay.
In the winter we do not offer Horseback riding tours, but you can stay with us for a lovely Icelandic winter break with family and/or friends.

Dear Víðir, dear Susan,
you just happen to finish the Northern lights tour. And Robin and I often think of our tour in the beginning of august. For me it is as it were yesterday. I won’t ever forget the splendid riding tour with you, the others of our group and – of course – the horses.
